I love Howard Suber! Anyone looking to get into scripts or storytelling should avail themselves of this man’s wisdom. He’s been a professor of all things film out there at UCLA for 50+ years. He wrote a book and now there’s a six part series with the same title happening over on Turner Classics Movies. Suber is a master at highlighting what works in memorable movies and why. The list of people who came through his classes and then went on to do amazing things is a big part of his impressive resume. Example! Before The Doors were The Doors, they were film students at UCLA. And Suber was their teacher. So check it!
